HC Deb 17 June 1953 vol 516 c69W
108. Mr. G. Wilson

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General whether he will make arrangements for all post offices to show clearly the name of the town, village or district in which they are situated on the outside of their premises for the better information of tourists, especially those from overseas.

Mr. Gammans

At offices generally it is customary to display a sign, or a notice which can easily be read from outside, indicating its name, and I have always supposed that these arrangements were adequate. If my hon. Friend will let me know of any particular place he has in mind I shall be glad to make inquiry.
