Commander GalbraithFor the five years from 1948 to 1952 the numbers were 5,354, 5,994, 6,757, 7,421 and 7,738. For the first quarter of 1953 the number was 2,088, compared with 2,247 in the first quarter of 1952.

Commander GalbraithOn the advice of the Advisory Committee for Medical Research in Scotland, five grants from National Health Service funds have been made for research on coronary thrombosis. At 31st March, 1953, £5,100 had been paid, and £11,600 remained to be paid during this year.
