§ Mr. Nabarroasked the Minister of Fuel and Power whether he is now in a position to make a statement on his consultations to secure full use of the 2 million tons per annum briquetting capacity in the United Kingdom, only 1 million tons per annum of which is currently being employed; whether he will bring the idle capacity into full productive use before next winter, in view of the house-coal shortage threatening; and how briquette prices will generally compare with the revised domestic coal price schedules.
§ Mr. Geoffrey LloydI regret that I am not yet in a position to make a statement 229W on this matter. I am still in consultation with the National Coal Board on the many complex issues involved.
