asked the Minister of Agriculture what has been the rise in forestry workers' wages, expressed as a percentage during the last three years.

Since July, 1950, the statutory minimum wage for forestry workers has risen by 20 per cent. in England and Wales, and by 15 per cent. in Scotland. During the same period the weekly wage paid to the lowest paid worker in Forestry Commission employment has risen by 22 per cent.
