§ Mr. P. ThorneycroftSince the 1st January, 1953, the North-Eastern Trading Estates Limited has started to build extensions to nine factories, as follows:

§ Mr. P. ThorneycroftOn 23rd May, 1953, the latest date for which official statistics are available, 1,566 men and boys and 3,613 women and girls, making a total of 5,179, were employed in these factories.
§ 65. Mr. F. Willeyasked the President of the Board of Trade how many people, men and women, were employed in factories administered by the North Eastern Trading Estates Limited on the latest available date.
§ Mr. P. ThorneycroftOn the 23rd May, 1953, the latest date for which official statistics are available, 18,370 men and boys and 25,677 women and girls, making a total of 44,047, were employed in these factories.
