Mr. Snowasked the Minister of Agriculture under what authority the area known as Lammas or Commoners Land, Shenstone, Staffordshire, is administered; by what deed this administration is carried out; and what access for recreation or pasturage is available to the area for the people of Shenstone.
§ Sir T. DugdaleThe land in question is apparently owned partly by the Church Commissioners and is partly in private hands. In an Inclosure Award Map of 1818 this land is shown as Lammas Land, but no trace has been found of any deed or document governing its administration. Nor have I any evidence that the public have any legal right of access to this land for recreation.
