asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he is aware that foreign boats have been tampering with the nets of the Whitby fishermen causing considerable loss to them; and if he will make inquiries, with a view to making representations in the matter.

Yes. My hon. Friend sent the Minister details of such a case on 20th July. Inquiries are being made, and I will let him know the result of my investigations.
