HC Deb 28 July 1953 vol 518 cc134-5W
122. Mr. Watkins

asked the Secretary of State for War what decision has now been made about the future of the proposed gun site at Trecastle, Breconshire; and whether he will make a statement.

Mr. Head

Although authority for the use of this outlying gun site was given by the Minister of Local Government and Planning on 19th September, 1951, I decided to see if we could get on without it. We now find that it is essential for training and I hope that it will be brought into use before the next training season.
