§ Sir D. Maxwell FyfeIt is the duty of the police at public meetings to prevent obstruction and to ensure that there is no breach of the peace. In the performance of this duty the police have found it necessary to restrict the number of meetings held at West Green Corner, where the building of an ornamental garden has recently reduced the capacity of the site. There is no discrimination on the part of the police as between the meetings of particular organisations, and I cannot accept the implication in the last part of the Question.
