HC Deb 15 July 1953 vol 517 cc161-2W
12. Mr. R. Robinson

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether his attention has been called to the statement in the Report on Development and Welfare in West Indies, 1952, that because of high freight rates Jamaica-made cement cannot be sold competitively in British Honduras; and what steps are being taken to remedy this.

Mr. Lyttelton

I understand that since the beginning of this year the Jamaica cement company has sold cement in British Honduras at a competitive price.
