asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he will reconsider his decision to postpone approval for the sewage scheme for Llanrug and Cwmyglo prepared by the Gwyrfai Rural District Council, in view of the urgency of the project.

Mr. Marples

No. My right hon. Friend is afraid that there are many even more urgent projects which local authorities are anxious to carry out, and he must limit his authorisations to the most urgent in order to keep the total volume of work being done within manageable proportions.

The Council were asked on 18th December, 1952, to submit independent proposals for sewering the proposed new housing development at Llanrug and he is awaiting those proposals.
