Mr. Edward Evansasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government whether he is aware of the serious coast erosion taking place at Easton Barents on the East Suffolk coast and the imminent danger to the houses there; and whether he will at once consult with the local authorities in the area concerned with coast protection with a view to arresting the erosion.
§ Mr. MarplesMy right hon. Friend knows that erosion is taking place at this point. He understands that the coast protection authority are considering counter measures, and he is prepared to examine any proposals they may put forward.
