§ 97. Mr. Ness Edwardsasked the Assistant Postmaster-General what action has been taken by the Government in relation to the matters provided for in paragraph 26 (f) of the White Paper on Broadcasting, Command Paper No. 8550.
§ Mr. GammansParagraph 26 (f) in the White Paper has been embodied in Articles 12 and 20 of the B.B.C. Charter. The B.B.C. has been advised that the Postmaster-General does not propose to exercise his powers to specify the information to be included in the Annual Report and Accounts, on the understanding that he will be notified if the Corporation proposes to provide information differing substantially in form or scope from that in the Report and Accounts for last year.
