HC Deb 23 February 1953 vol 511 c186W
69. Major Anstruther-Gray

asked the Minister of National Insurance what progress has been made in reaching reciprocal arrangements with Australia; and whether he can name a date on which these will come in force.

Mr. Peake

The Government of the Commonwealth of Australia has recently approved a reciprocal agreement covering a number of benefits and allowances administered by my Department. Steps are being taken to complete the necessary formalities and to get the agreement signed but I cannot yet say when it will come into force.
