HC Deb 19 February 1953 vol 511 cc169-70W
120. Mr. Beswick

asked the Secretary of State for War the estimated number of Army personnel who are posted within one year between the United Kingdom and overseas stations, or between one overseas station and another.

Mr. J. R. H. Hutchison

The number of Army personnel posted as individuals to theatres outside the United Kingdom during 1952 was just under 110,000. Postings of individuals between overseas theatres were few, except for the transfer of some 4,000 infantry reinforcements to the Korean theatre from Hong Kong where they had completed their training.
