Mr. Swinglerasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he is aware that Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council is now obliged to apply 110W for permission to acquire agricultural land for housing purposes, because of the shortage of suitable sites; and if he will consult with the Minister of Agriculture about the early release of sites at Clayton and Keele Road, which were discussed at a conference on 4th February attended by representatives of his Department.
