Comparable rates in other public services are -local government officers 6 per cent., except for certain officers to whom the Local Government and Other Officers Superannuation Act, 1922, applied, who pay 5 per cent.; officers in the National Health Service, 6 per cent.; firemen, 5 per cent.; policemen, 5 per cent.; policewomen, 4½ per cent.
