HC Deb 12 February 1953 vol 511 c76W
117. Mr. Osborne

asked the Minister of Works if he is satisfied that cement manufacturing facilities in the United Kingdom are adequate to meet the demands that will arise from the rebuilding of sea defences without reducing the supplies for other domestic purposes and for the export trade.

Mr. Eccles

It is not yet possible to assess the demand for cement for rebuilding sea defences or to say when substantial supplies will be required.
