HC Deb 04 February 1953 vol 510 c212W
84. Mr. Woodburn

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Works, as representing the Lord President of the Council, whether he will make a statement as to Britain participating in the new research enterprise on nuclear energy being set up by several European countries at Geneva.

Mr. Molson

The European Inter-Governmental Council which is planning the setting up of a permanent European organisation for fundamental nuclear research was told, at its recent meeting in Brussels, that Her Majesty's Government is ready in principle to join the proposed organisation provided that the terms of the Convention setting up the organisation are acceptable.
