asked the Minister of Health what information he has on the extent to which a positive reaction to one of the tuberculin tests indicates tuberculous infection or only skin sensitivity to tuberculin.

I am advised that the evidence shows that a positive tuberculin skin test almost invariably denotes the presence of a tuberculous infection at some time in the patient's life, but does not throw any light on its activity
