HC Deb 18 December 1953 vol 522 c130W
Mr. Viant

asked the Minister of Health whether he has considered the analysis made by the Staffordshire medical officials of the Coseley diphtheria outbreak in 1951, which states that only those inoculated against diphtheria within the preceding three years should be regarded as completely immunised; and whether he will make a statement on the report.

Mr. Iain Macleod

I cannot find any such statement in the report published in the medical press. The period during which immunisation remains fully effective varies in individuals.
