HC Deb 17 December 1953 vol 522 cc87-8W
78. Mr. Beswick

asked the Minister of Education if she is aware of the difficulty in which some parents of children in Cowley are now placed by the necessity to take infants to Yiewsley for primary education, especially those mothers who already have an infant at the Cowley school; and if she will authorise the education authority to take special steps to provide adequate primary accommodation in Cowley.

Miss Horsbrugh

The general situation in this area is as I described it to the hon. Member in reply to his Questions on 10th December. I have no doubt that if any difficulty arises the education authority will do their best to keep brothers and sisters together. Pending the provision of a new school I am ready to consider any proposal put to me for hiring additional accommodation.
