§ 100. Sir W. Smithersasked the Minister of Agriculture why the county executive committee have told Mr. Lane, of Grange Farm, North Denchworth, that his management of his farm is unsatisfactory.
§ Sir T. DugdaleWhen Mr. Lane's farm was surveyed in March last, the Berkshire County Agricultural Executive Committee took the view that the grassland management could be improved. They surveyed the farm again in August, after which Mr. Lane was told how pleased they were with the results which he had achieved since taking over the farm, although they still felt that improvements could usefully be made. He has been offered the assistance of the Committee and the N.A.A.S.
