asked the Under-Secretary of State for Air what will be the constitution of the selection board for the new scheme of scholarships to Cranwell.

The preliminary assessment of candidates will be carried out by a Royal Air Force Selection Board, but the final awards will be made by an Awards Board at the Air Ministry.

The composition of the Boards is as follows:

Royal Air Force Selection Board A group captain (President). A headmaster. These will be assisted by four pairs of team observers, with a wing commander and a squadron leader as each pair.

Air Ministry Awards Board The Director General of Personnel 1 (Chairman) A headmaster. The Director of Educational Services. A group captain. An administrative civil servant.
