HC Deb 15 December 1953 vol 522 cc42-3W
100. Mr. P. Roberts

asked the Minister of Fuel and Power the quantities of coke which the United Kingdom is permitted to export to Europe under the Geneva Committee Trade Agreement.

Mr. Joynson-Hicks

Unlimited quantities. I presume that my hon. Friend has in mind the arrangements for the quarterly allocation of solid fuel exports worked through the Coal Distribution Committees of the Organisation for European Economic Co-operation and the Economic Commission for Europe. These arrangements are designed to secure an equitable distribution of available supplies between member countries and impose no limits on quantities exported.
