HC Deb 15 December 1953 vol 522 cc24-5W
44. Mr. Llewellyn

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government why his Department circulated to all Members for Welsh constituencies a statement of the Advisory Council for Wales and Monmouthshire critical of Her Majesty's Government in general, and the Minister for Welsh Affairs in particular; whether this statement was printed at the public expense; what was the cost of distribution; and what other advisory councils are afforded similar facilities by his Department.

Mr. H. Macmillan

The statement in question was circulated by the Council for Wales and Monmouthshire and not by my Department. I provide secretarial facilities for the Council and the statement was printed in my Welsh Office. By direction of the Council it was handed by their secretary to the hon. Member for Brecon and Radnor (Mr. Watkins) for distribution.

The answer to the last part of my hon. Friend's Question is "None."
