HC Deb 14 December 1953 vol 522 c3W
Sir F. Soskice

asked the Attorney-General whether he will introduce legislation in the light of the recommendations of the Nathan Committee on Charitable Trusts, and, in particular, whether he will legislate with regard to trusts intended to be charitable, but which, under existing law, are not charitable owing to the inclusion of non-charitable purposes.

The Attorney-General

My noble Friend the Lord Chancellor has introduced in another place the Charitable Trusts (Validation) Bill, which deals with the trusts mentioned in the second part of the Question. The other recommendations of the Nathan Committee are still under consideration.
