83. Mr. Hobson

asked the Minister of Health whether, before fluoride is added to the water supplies of selected communities, baseline information on the incidence of dental caries in those communities will be obtained and any comparable communities that can be used as controls; whether a survey of fluoride excretion in the urine of representative children and adults of all age groups throughout the country will be made in order to assess the required dose of fluoride to be added to water supplies; how adequate supplies of fluorides in the most suitable form will be obtained; and what safeguards there will be against errors in dosage and undue exposure of the operating personnel to the materials handled.
