§ 82. Mr. Brockwayasked the Minister of Health if his attention has been drawn to the decision of the North-West Metropolitan Regional Hospital Board to close Colinswood Maternity Home at Farnham Common, Slough; and if he will ask for a reconsideration of this decision, in view of the domestic overcrowding in Slough and the need to provide further maternity institutions to meet the needs of the in creased population on the proposed London County Council estates.
§ Mr. Iain MacleodI am aware of this proposal, and in view of the unsatisfactory nature of the accommodation at this home and of the number of beds available at other hospitals in the area, I am not disposed to question the Regional Hospital Board's decision.
