asked the Minister of Education the total provision for the training of teachers for technical college work; and what proposals she has in mind for increasing such provision, in view of its vital part in the struggle for economic survival.

The average number of teachers admitted annually to the technical teacher training colleges in the past three years has been 260. I would be ready to consider an increase in admissions should the demand justify it, but these colleges are by no means the only source of recruitment for technical college staff.
