§ 118. Mr. Emrys Hughesasked the Minister of Agriculture what information he has to account for the slow response on the part of farmers to the loan fund scheme initiated by him on 17th September.
§ Sir T. DugdaleThe slow response may be due to the time of the year since one of the main purposes of the Revolving Loan Fund for Agriculture is to assist small farmers to install grain-drying equipment and storage.
Further publicity will be given to this scheme in the New Year, but I welcome this opportunity of reminding farmers of these arrangements and of the importance of making their applications for loans in good time for the next grain harvest.
