HC Deb 09 December 1953 vol 521 c246W
116. Mr. Alport

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General whether he is aware of the inconvenience and financial loss experienced by industrial concerns using mobile radios by frequency changes; and whether he will ensure that these changes are avoided in the future.

Mr. Gammans

I am aware that frequency changes are inconvenient and involve expense; but they have to be made from time to time in order to make effective use of the frequency spectrum. I see no prospect of securing immunity from change for any particular class of radio user, but the maximum possible notice would, of course, be given of any change.
