§ 122. Mr. Beswickasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation on what grounds he makes his decision to publish, or to withhold publication, of the report following an inquiry into a civil aircraft accident; and to what extent he follows the same procedure with regard to reports forwarded to him by the investigating authorities of other States who have occasion to inquire into accidents involving British aircraft.
§ Mr. ProfumoIn deciding whether to publish reports of accidents investigated in accordance with United Kingdom250W regulations by a public inquiry, my right hon. Friend is guided by the undertaking given in Lord Pakenham's memorandum in Command Paper 7564. As regards reports by the investigating authorities of other States on accidents to British aircraft overseas, the same procedure is adopted after consultations with the investigating authority unless there are special considerations which would make publication undesirable.
