HC Deb 04 December 1953 vol 521 c180W
Mr. Hector Hughes

asked the Secretary of State for War if he will make a statement as to the arrangements for Christmas leave to be given to British soldiers in their various overseas stations.

Mr. Head

As in previous years, the men overseas may be granted four days' holiday at Christmas or the New Year. For those in North-West Europe, special arrangements are being made to bring home at this time an extra 4,000 men over and above the normal leave traffic.
