HC Deb 02 December 1953 vol 521 cc133-4W
61. Mr. Sorensen

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what developments have taken place in respect of the establishment of the Anglo-French Joint Council for Togoland.

Mr. Lyttelton

The statement by the administering authorities inviting views on methods of reconstituting the Council has evoked widely divergent opinions from the various political parties and groups in Togoland. Ways of reconciling these views are now being studied.
