asked the Minister of Labour the numbers of unfilled vacancies in the Royal Ordnance factories and in the coalmining industry in Staffordshire and Cheshire at the latest date for which figures are available.

At the latest dates for which figures are available, there were on the books of the employment exchanges about 60 unfilled vacancies in the Royal Ordnance Factories, and 970 unfilled vacancies in the coalmining industry in the two counties.
