asked the Minister of Labour how many registered disabled persons are unemployed in the borough and rural district of Newcastle-under-Lyme at the latest date for which figures are available; how this figure compares with that of 12 months ago; and how many of these persons have been unemployed for six and 12 months, respectively.

At 16th March, 1953, the number in the borough and rural district was 156 compared with 139 12 months ago. The total of 156 included 33 unemployed for between six and 12 months and 61 for more than 12 months.
