Maxwell FyfeI am sure that the House will feel that the Chairman's name is a sufficient guarantee that the Waverley Committee will proceed with its task as rapidly as is consistent with a thorough investigation of a complex problem. The Committee has already held a first informal meeting. It would be impracticable to form an estimate of the time required for the Committee to report until there has been an opportunity to assess the volume of evidence to be sifted and examined.
