§ 116. Mr. J. Johnsonasked the Secretary of State for War the number of ex-Far East prisoners of war called up for Z Reserve training since the inception of the scheme.
§ Mr. HeadNo special record is kept of these figures and to get them would require considerable research. Since the medical reports of those who have been prisoners of war in the Far East are specially marked and the possible effects of captivity on the reservist's health are fully investigated, I do not think that a special inquiry into these numbers would be justified.
§ 119. Mr. H. Hyndasked the Secretary of State for War if he will make a statement on his proposals in regard to the Z scheme next year, with particular reference to the position of ex-prisoners of war.
§ Mr. HeadI would ask the hon. Member to await the statement about Z reservist training which I shall be making to the House at a later date.
