101. Mr. Hale

asked the Minister of Pensions whether he is aware that a disabled soldier forfeits his disablement pension on conviction for a felony, not merely during the period of his imprisonment but also on his release; whether he is aware of the grave difficulty which confronts a seriously disabled person on release from prison; and whether he will consider making provisions for payment of pension after release.

Imprisonment on conviction of an offence involves the forfeiture of a pension but I have discretionary powers of restoration.
