§ Mr. GammansThree hundred and sixty-nine applications were outstanding on 30th September, 1952. Additional exchange equipment sufficient to supply all these applications will be ready for service about the middle of next year. New cables are also needed, and although some are nearly ready for service, it will unfortunately be some time, because of our limited resources, before sufficient new cables can be provided to enable all existing applications to be met.
