HC Deb 29 May 1952 vol 501 c170W
Mr. Marlowe

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he is aware of heavy pressure of work on the Metropolitan Police Courts at Marylebone and West London districts; and whether he will take steps to relieve this by setting up a new court to cover the areas of Paddington and North Kensington.

Sir D. Maxwell Fyfe

I am aware that these courts are heavily pressed. The restrictions on capital investment preclude the building of any new court at present, but I am considering certain other proposals for providing some measure of relief.
