Jonesasked the Attorney-General if his attention has been called to one of Her Majesty's judge's comments upon the inadvisability of using an English Bible when the oath is taken in Welsh in law courts; and whether he will arrange for a Welsh Bible to be available in all the courts of Wales.
§ The Attorney-GeneralI am aware of the comments to which the hon. Member refers. I have no evidence that there has ever been any demand by witnesses for the provision of Welsh Bibles in the courts of Wales, but if any such evidence is forthcoming, I will arrange for the matter to be considered by the responsible authorities.
