§ Mr. Nabarroasked the Minister of Fuel and Power whether he will state the consumption of coal at the power-houses of the British Electricity Authority during 12 months ended 30th April 1952; what percentage and tonnage of that aggregate consumption of such coal comprised low grade slack and slurries which could not be consumed by industrial boiler usages, or for export, or for bunkering or for domestic use and could not be employed for anything else save only power-house use at the British Electricity Authority stations.
§ Mr. Geoffrey LloydThe quantity of coal consumed at power stations of the British Electricity Authority was 34.1 million tons during the year ended 30th April, 1952. All these coals could be used in varying degrees for one or other of the purposes mentioned.
