§ 72. Mr. Sorensenasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he has considered the increased charges for garage accommodation for private cars, sometimes by as much as 200 per cent., compared with 1938 charges; and whether he will consider introducing legislation to limit the increase in respect of lock-up and other garages, particularly in view of the increase in the cost of petrol, which has added to the burden of many who have to use a car for their avocation.
§ Sir D. Maxwell FyfeNo. I am afraid that I can hold out no hope of legislation on this subject either now or in the near future.
