asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will make a statement on the future of Scottish industrial development.

Mr. J. Stuart

The Government intend to further industrial development in Scotland by all possible and practicable means. My noble Friend the Minister of State for Scottish Affairs is concerning himself especially with Scottish industrial questions and he and I are in close touch with the Ministers Departmentally responsible on questions of importance to Scotland.
