Lieut.-Commander Hutchisonasked the First Lord of the Admiralty how many Hunt class frigates it is intended to transfer to the Royal Danish Navy and the Royal Norwegian Navy.
§ Mr. J. P. L. ThomasHer Majesty's Frigates "Blackmore," "Exmoor" and "Calpe" are to be lent to the Royal Danish Navy for a period of four years. Her Majesty's Frigates "Beaufort" and "Zetland" are to be lent to the Royal Norwegian Navy for a similar period. These ships will be refitted at the expense of the Danish and Norwegian Governments respectively. It is a condition of the loans that in the event of emergency the vessels will be employed in accordance with agreed North Atlantic Treaty Organisation plans.
