§ 57. Viscountess Davidsonasked the Minister of Agriculture his policy with regard to the duration of the present arrangements for food production on requisitioned common land.
§ Sir T. DugdaleI now have power to retain until December, 1954, possession of common land and other land requisitioned in the interests of food production. I propose to use that power wherever retention of such land can be justified in the national interest as a means of maintaining food production. Future policy about requisitioned common land after 1954 is under consideration.
