§ Mr. Slaterasked the Minister of Health if an inquiry has yet been held regarding the death of a boy named Trewhett, 10 years of age and in good 189W health, at the Darlington Memorial Hospital, in view of the allegations of neglect by the hospital staff made by the parents; and if he will publish the findings.
Mr. lain MacleodThe circumstances were fully investigated by two senior officers of the Regional Hospital Board in December last, and I am satisfied from the report I have had that, from the time the child was admitted to hospital in a very serious condition, everything possible was done for him. Perhaps I may be allowed to express my sympathy with his parents in their loss.
