§ 85. Mr. G. R. Straussasked the Minister of Supply the nature and the estimated cost of the development schemes, and the companies concerned, which have been approved by the Iron and Steel Corporation of Great Britain.
§ Mr. SandysSchemes proposed by 46 companies, at an estimated cost of about £151 million, have been approved by the Iron and Steel Corporation of Great Britain. These schemes relate mainly to the construction of coke ovens, blast furnaces, steelmaking plant and steel rolling and finishing plant, together with associated ancillary plant and services.
